Age Limit: Age should not be more than 40 years for Medical Officer, 36 years for for ordinary Medical Graduates, 40 years for those possessing Postgraduate Medical qualifications for Medical Officer (General Duty) as on 01-01-2018. The upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. Rules.

Educational Qualification: Any of the Medical qualifications included in the First and Second Schedule or Part–II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal for Medical Officer, Medical Officer (General Duty) & Recognized Post-Graduate qualification in a particular speciality or equivalent qualification, Post-Graduate qualifications MD/ DMRD/ DNB for Radiology, MD/ DA/ DNB for Anaesthesiology, MD/ DNB for Pathology, MD/ DNB for Orthopaedics, Surgery, General Medicine/ Family Medicine for Medical Officer.

Selection Process: Based on Written Test & Interview.

Application Fee: Pay of Rs. 210/- through online/ offline. No fee for SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above.

Online Mode:
(i) for online payment through debit/ credit cards; convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) + 18 % GST as applicable on convenience fee
(ii) for online payment through net banking; convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) + 18% GST as applicable on convenience fee

Off-line Mode: For offline payment through bank counter at any branches of UBI; service charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty) only.
